Nando's and McDonald's King's Lynn High Street close temporarily after floods
Businesses in Lynn town centre had to close earlier today in the wake of last night's floods.
Both Nando's and McDonald's in the High Street displayed notices saying they were temporarily shut.
Burger chain McDonald's stated on their storefront that they were closed due to flooding.
Afro-Portuguese restaurant Nando's said that due to "power issues and having no extractor" this had led to their short-term closure today, adding: "We are awaiting engineers to fix the issue."
At lunchtime three UK Power Networks vans were stationed on Lynn's Tuesday Market Place.
As of 2.30pm, McDonald's is now open.
The heavy overnight rain following a prolonged drought had caused widespread flooding in Lynn town centre and other areas of West Norfolk.
