The family of a Swaffham father who died in a motorcycle accident earlier this month has issued a tribute to him.

Nathan Rowland, 31, died in a collision on the B1108 Watton Road in Little Cressingham on bank holiday Thursday, June 2.

The tribute, released by Norfolk police, today, said: “Nathan (known by many as FatRat) was a hardworking, outgoing, caring man who loved life. He would do anything for his family and friends and never failed to make us smile.

"He was an amazing daddy who doted on his two beautiful little girls. We are left with such a sad emptiness that can never be filled. He will be missed by so many.”

The accident happened close to the junction of Great Cressingham Road shortly after 2.30pm when his blue and white Suzuki motorbike and blue VW Sharan, travelling in opposite directions, were involved in a collision.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and was later reopened at 9.15pm.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has information concerning the riding/driving manner of either vehicle prior to the incident. Police would also like to hear from anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage.

Anyone with information should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Wymondham on 101 quoting incident number 241 or June 2 or email sciu@norfolk.pnn.police.uk.
