Trio of employees from Downham Market company to skydive for charity

A team of brave staff members from a Downham-based company are set to take to the skies to raise money for a good cause.

Three Circle Waste employees, business development manager Lisa Rudd and internal accounts managers Abbie Parker and Tim Pennington, will complete a skydive to fundraise for West Norfolk Mind.

The trio have decided to take on the adrenaline-charged activity next month after West Norfolk Mind was chosen as the skip hire, waste management and recycling company’s charity of the year.

Lisa, who is the only member of the group who has completed a skydive before, said the fundraiser was her idea.

“It’s such a good cause, if we can do something to raise awareness, then I say ‘push me now’,” she said.

“Nearly everyone knows somebody who is battling with everyday struggles, by doing this skydive we want to raise awareness and money for a much-needed charity.”

The group’s charity skydive is set to take place at Beccles Airfield in Suffolk on Sunday, September 29.

“Having done one before, it’s probably worse for me because I know what to expect – it was something else,” Lisa added.

But this time, she wants to enjoy it.

“This time I want to do some tricks in the sky,” she said.

“I won’t be as petrified as the last one.”

Lisa said, for the trio, it’s a case of “go hard or go home”.

“I love extreme stuff, and Abbie and Tim are so excited about it,” she said.

“It’s the perfect opportunity for us to do this and to raise money.

“Tim is going to be 21 next month so we’ll be celebrating by jumping out of a plane.”
