Two die in crash on West Norfolk road




Two people have died following a crash on a busy West Norfolk road earlier today .

Emergency crews were called to the A1122 at Stradsett shortly after 10am this morning, following a collision involving a black Proton car and a red Volvo lorry.

A Norfolk Police statement, issued a short time ago, said the driver of the Proton, a man in his 60s, had been pronounced dead at the scene.

His passenger, a woman in her 70s, sustained critical injuries and later died in hospital.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident, or how either of the vehicles involved was being driven prior to it, to come forward. Motorists are also being asked to check their dashcams.
