Burger King confirms it will open in Fakenham - with plans suggesting it will be housed in the new refurbished Morrison’s petrol station
Another fast food chain has confirmed it will be coming to a market town.
Burger King says it will be bringing a branch to Fakenham in the near future - with hints of it opening inside the Morrison’s petrol station on Clipbush Lane.
In an application submitted to North Norfolk District Council to demolish and rebuild the Motor Fuel Group-run garage, the proposed site layout showed that, if approved, the fast food giant would have a space.
Last month, Greggs also unveiled its intentions to open a second bakery in the town, which would be operated by MFG.
Meanwhile, yesterday, McDonald’s finally received the official green light to open in the town.
A spokesperson for Burger King said they “can confirm that Fakenham will become a new home to the Whopper, opening its doors in the near future”.
“Stay tuned for more details around the opening date,” they added.
The demolition of the current petrol station would include getting rid of the sales building and car wash in preparation for a new one with a cash point, canopy alterations, a new bin store, solar panels and associated works.
