Two hospitalised after crash on A47 between Terrington St John and Walpole Highway
Two people were hospitalised and a road was closed after a crash on the A47.
Police were called to the main road near Terrington St John this morning at 10.11am, after a collision between a Jeep and a Mazda.
Two people were involved on the Lynn-bound side, with both taken to Lynn’s Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The entire carriageway was closed following the incident, with fire services attending to assist the other emergency services.
Police remained on scene for a few hours after the crash, with one lane reopened in the early afternoon.
An East of Enland Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 10.12am to a road traffic collision on the northbound A47 near Walpole Highway.
“Three ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.
“Two patients were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further assessment and treatment.”
