‘Uncaring’ vandals target Watlington Pre-School and damage outdoor toys and summerhouse
A village pre-school has been left to pick up the pieces after vandals broke in over the weekend.
Watlington Pre-School was victim of the break-in, which is thought to have taken place on Sunday morning.
The school, which takes on tots between the ages of two and four, has said the incident was captured on CCTV - and staff believe that three youths were the perpetrators.
During the break-in, the children’s summer house was vandalised and outdoor toys were broken. The pre-school has contacted the police after the incident.
Norfolk Police confirmed that they are investigating the incident, which is believed to have happened between 6-7am.
The community of Watlington has since pulled together to raise more than £1,300 via a JustGiving page.
These funds will help replace the broken toys and rectify any damage caused.
A spokesperson for Watlington Pre-School said: “As a charity pre-school, the staff and committee work incredibly hard to provide a fun and enriching experience for all the children that attend, and fundraising is a constant priority.
“So uncaring actions such as this impact the children and our wider community.”
