Union leaders have given their backing to the campaign against the Lynnsport and Marsh Lane housing development.

Officials from the GMB union’s Kings Lynn number one branch have given £200 to the Lynnsport Area Residents Association (LARA) in support of their push to halt the controversial project, which, if approved, could see hundreds of new homes built on several sites in the area.

Branch secretary Dave Dennis said: “We feel that what the borough council are doing is not democracy. They are not listening to the public’s wishes.”
