Units called to grass blaze in North Wootton

Firefighters were called to tackle a grass blaze in North Wootton last night.

Lynn-based units tackled the incident in Priory Lane, which was reported at around 8.10pm.

The fire is the latest of dozens of such incidents around the county in recent weeks during the lengthy period of warm weather.

Service chiefs have issued several appeals for people to be cautious because of the very dry conditions.
