Update: Man dies in fatal road accident at Sandringham this afternoon

LEARN MOREPolice are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in Sandringham this afternoon (Friday 3 September).
Officers were called to King's Avenue in Sandringham shortly before 2pm following reports that a vehicle had collided with a tree.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance attended the scene and road closures were put in place along King's Avenue.
Sadly, the driver, a man aged in his 50s died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Anyone with information or any dashcam footage should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting incident 187 of today’s date (3 September).
Motorists are being urged to avoid Sandringham this afternoon following what is being described as a "serious" collision.
Earlier, firefighters were reported to have cut one person free following the crash.
A post on the Norfolk Police Twitter feed had reported: "Officers are currently at the scene of a serious collision along Kings Avenue in #Sandringham
"The road is currently closed in both directions. Motorists should avoid the area and find alternative routes."
The Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said they were called to the area shortly before 2pm this afternoon.
