Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorbike and a car collided on the A17 at Terrington St Clement yesterday afternoon.
The motorcyclist, who is a man in his 20s, remains in a serious but stable condition at Addenbrooke’s hospital.
The collision between a blue Toyota Auris and a blue Yamaha R6 motorbike happened at 3.50pm yesterday.
The rider sustained multiple injuries and was taken by air ambulance to hospital for treatment; the driver of the car did not sustain any injuries.
MP Henry Bellingham said: “It’s incredibly important that we get the full facts. We need to learn lessons from this accident: lives are at risk. Money should not be an issue.”
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and fully re-opened at 8pm.
Officers are hoping to speak to anyone who saw the collision, or anyone who has information about the driving manner of either vehicle prior to the crash.
Witnesses should contact Swaffham Road policing unit on 101.
