South West Norfolk MP Elizabeth Truss this week praised the work done to re-open the Five Bells Inn at Upwell.
The refurbished pub, brought earlier in the year by local businessman Christopher Robinson and James Brighty, is due to open late summer 2015 under the watchful eye of Joe Elliot.
Due to demand, Elliot already has moved her established business of three years, Joe’s Nose Bag, across the river into one section of the inn.
Breakfast, lunches and sandwich deliveries are on offer and a meals-on-wheels scheme for local residents is set to open in early autumn.
Mrs Truss said: “It was great to look round the Five Bells Inn. The location is fantastic, right beside the church with stunning views of the river and I am very impressed by the commitment from the Robinson-Brighty Partnership to get the inn fully-functioning again.”
