Villagers were able to enjoy their traditional festive lunch at RAF Marham after a village transport firm stepped in to get them to the base.

Marham hosts an annual celebration for residents of nearby villages, but was unable to provide transport this year because of a busy operations programme.

But Narborough-based firm R+S Van Hire stepped in to help make sure its residents could still enjoy the event after being called by the village’s parish council chairman, Peter Wilkinson.

Mr Wilkinson, pictured above centre with residents, thanked the company for stepping in to help out.
