Heacham venue closes temporarily due to heat

With a red weather warning issued today, a venue has closed its doors temporarily to protect animals from the heat.

The animal gardens at Norfolk Lavender in Heacham are closed today and will reopen tomorrow.

Video footage shows an ostrich being cooled down with a hose of water and a statement on their Facebook page reads: "The animal gardens have made the decision for the wellbeing of animals, staff and public to close Tuesday, July 19.
