Holy Cross Primary School in Runcton Holme opening pre-school
A new pre-school is opening in Runcton Holme, attached to the village’s Holy Cross Church of England Primary School.
The school will welcome children from the age of three for both morning and afternoon sessions, as well as offering whole-day placements from 8.30am to 3.30pm. They can also put on Breakfast Club and Lunch sessions.
Interested parents and carers are also encouraged to come along to the school’s Stay and Play sessions on Monday mornings. These are put on to provide them with the opportunity to see their under-fives in the school environment, playing, singing, listen to stories and getting to know other children in a safe and supportive setting.
Emma Zeil, head teacher at the school, which is a member of the Diocese of Ely Multi Academy Trust, said: “We are delighted to open this pre-school provision which will help support families across our local area and offer these youngest children the best possible start to their education.
“The strength of our pre-school offer is that our early years team can make sure children are fully prepared for their transition into school, so they hit the ground running as soon as they join Reception.
“Other children love our Stay and Play sessions which give parents the opportunity to see for themselves what life is like in our school. They can watch their children enjoying playing with their new friends, learning new songs, and exploring this new environment for themselves.
“We understand that choosing the right primary school is such a huge decision for families so we want to offer parents and carers the chance to get to know us better before they make that commitment. We encourage families to come along, meet our dedicated staff, and see how we help all children thrive and reach their full potential."
Parents and carers interested in finding out more about the Holy Cross pre-school provision and Stay and Play sessions can go to the school website for more information or to book a personalised tour.
