B1094 Silt Road in Nordelph to close on selected days for resurfacing
Work is set to begin next week to surface dress a road in Nordelph.
Silt Road, the B1094, will be closed off on a number of different dates and times while the work is carried out, it is due to start on Tuesday, May 14.
Surfacing will be completed as well as line painting and cat’s eyes being renewed.
The work which will cost £136,000 will be carried out by Norfolk County Council’s Community and Environmental Services Department and their contractors Tarmac and Keir Highway Services.
Access to properties will be maintained at all times.
The work, which is weather-dependent, will be carried out in phases with any road closures only in place for a number of hours at a time.
The road will be closed on May 14 overnight from 7pm while road studs are removed.
On June 10, Silt Road will be closed from 9am-4pm for a surface dressing.
Starting from 7pm on June 20, the road will be closed again overnight while road markings and studs are being replaced.
A fully signed diversion route will be in operation for the duration of the works.
The County Council thanks people for their patience while this essential road maintenance work is carried out.
