Hunstanton RNLI volunteer lifeboat crew launched to report of dinghy in difficulty

Volunteers in a lifeboat crew were alerted to what appeared to be a dinghy in difficulty yesterday afternoon.

Hunstanton RNLI lifeboat crew launched following a request from HM Coastguard asking the crew to investigate the situation.

Inshore lifeboat, Spirit of West Norfolk, was launched shortly after the call came in at 1.30pm.

On arrival at the scene, they found an upturned buoy, which could have been mistaken for a dinghy.

The crew righted the marker and informed the harbourmaster that part of it was missing and they returned to station at 2.30pm.
