Voters' verdict due on West Norfolk neighbourhood plan proposals
Residents are being invited to give their verdict on visions for the future development of four West Norfolk villages next week.
Referenda will take place next Thursday, July 22, on neighbourhood plan documents for the parishes of Holme-next-the-Sea, Thornham, Tilney All Saints and Upwell.
The polls are the final stage of a process which is intended to provide greater community influence in the planning system.
Each of the documents has already been examined by a Government planning inspector and now has to be approved by residents in a referendum before it can come into force.
If voters do back the plans, they will then have to be taken into account during the decision-making process on future planning applications in those areas.
Full details of the plan documents are available via www.west-norfolk.gov.uk/info/20090/elections_and_voting/605/neighbourhood_planning_referendums.
