Firefighters have been dealing with a large blaze close to one of West Norfolk's busiest roads this evening.

The Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service posted a warning on its Twitter feed about the incident near the A17 at around 7.40pm tonight.

The post said: "We are currently dealing with a large fire on Grange Road, Walpole Cross Keys (just off the A17)."

It also advised nearby residents to keep their doors and windows closed.

The blaze is understood to have involved a straw stack and comes little more than two weeks after a similar incident in Terrington St Clement.

Before that, service chiefs had urged the public to be vigilant following a series of earlier incidents.
