Heacham couple who got married in Tier 4 finally have their wedding dance eight months later
A couple who scrambled to get married as Norfolk went into Tier 4 last year have finally had their first dance - eight months later.
Mark and Kim Fiander, of Heacham, gathered with friends and family last month to have their long awaited wedding bash.
The lovebirds danced to Christina Perri’s ‘A Thousand Years’, which was the same song they walked down the aisle to back in December 2020.
Mrs Fiander said of her husband on Facebook: “You make me smile, I love you crazy amounts and I really wouldn’t want to share my life with anyone else.
“Felt so happy in this moment never thought I would get a ‘first dance’, but I did.”
The couple hit headlines last year after they managed to rearrange their wedding plans in just 24 hours before Norfolk was plunged into Tier 4 lockdown restrictions.
The Norfolk beauty wore a beautiful fishtail gown and swapped New York for Norfolk for her big day, which had been cancelled twice due to the pandemic.
The pair were determined to “end the year on a high” and wed in front of a small number of guests in their local church.
Last month the nuptials were complete after a disco, complete with a dancefloor, was installed in their garden and friends and family arrived with gifts and champagne.
Mrs Fiander wore a stunning nude silk slip dress for the occasion and her husband donned a t-shirt and jeans.
The couple looked over the moon in the photos and can be seen hugging family and friends, a change from Tier 4 restrictions where hugging was banned.
