King's Lynn watersport festival makes a return
The Hanseatic Festival of Watersports took place for the seventh time this weekend on Lynn's quayside.
The high speed watersports took place at various times throughout Saturday and Sunday with some boats reaching speeds of up to 100mph.
Racers came to Lynn from across the world to compete in events such as water skiing, jet skiing and F1 boat racing.
The event was free to watch and saw a return of Formula 1, 2 and 3 water-ski racing.
Live music and fireworks happened on Saturday evening with Redemption and Mark Purdy on stage.
The races were also available to watch via a Facebook livestream for those who couldn't make it.
A variety of formulas and classes raced across the weekend, with juniors as young as four-years-old taking part.
Ladies, juniors, seniors, under 12's and under 15's accompanied formula one, two and three races.
Jet ski stunt displays by Ant Burgess, Dan Foy and Paul Hewitt also took place.
Event organiser Tom Lumley said: "We have invested a lot of time and effort into this event and it has truly paid off.
"I would like to thank all the sponsors, especially the borough council and Peter Carter Haulage for their support.
"We also appreciate the Belgian teams coming over to the UK to support this event."
Cllr Graham Middleton, Deputy Leader at the borough council, said: "This is a fantastic event to watch from the South Quay, it has grown in stature each year and is now ranking as one of the best venues in the UK and Europe.
"Visitors from around the world came to see this breath-taking spectacle, and we’re proud of what our wonderful town has to offer them."
