Concerns as travellers move onto Clenchwarton Playing Field

Travellers have moved on to a village playing field - prompting a parish council to plan a response.

Police were called to Clenchwarton Park on Hall Road at 11pm last night following reports of multiple caravans arriving.

Both West Norfolk Council and the parish council have been made aware of the situation, but it is unclear when action will be taken.

“Obviously, we want them moved as quickly as possible,” the parish clerk said.

“There are enforcements that can happen, and we’re looking into it.

“We’re waiting for powers such as the borough and everything else to advise before we take actions like other parishes have.”
