Baytree at Hilgay takes home two prestigious gold awards from national leisure exhibition SOLEX
Baytree garden centre at Hilgay has struck gold twice gaining prestigious awards at a national leisure exhibition.
Baytree, which took over the former Dents site off the A10 just six months ago, was presented with the accolades at the Summer Outdoor Living Exhibition (Solex) held at the NEC in Birmingham last week.
The Garden Trade News Greatest Outdoor Leisure Awards are backed by the Leisure and Outdoor Furniture Association.
Judging took place secretly in the spring.
Said Baytree spokesman Mark Elliott: "To the leisure and management team’s delight we came away with double gold awards. One was for the 'best barbecue sales team', which the judges said was down to our specialist range of barbecues, our large range of accessories, and the number of cooking demonstrations that we held. All of these factors had been greatly received by our customers.
"We won our second gold for the 'greatest outdoor furniture sales team’ and, according to the judges, this was due to our comprehensive range of furniture, the efficient delivery service that we offer, our merchandising which allowed the product to stand out and the in-depth product knowledge of the staff who work in our furniture department.
"This is such a great achievement as we are only six months old at Hilgay, and we are most certainly starting as we mean to go on with plans of expanding our furniture and barbecue showroom ready for next season.
"We would not however have won these awards if it wasn’t for the dedication and support of both the team here at Hilgay and the team at Baytree Weston, who work incredibly hard to ensure that both sites maintain the outstanding levels of customer service and care that we pride ourselves upon.
"Of course, our customers have played a huge part in our success and we would like to thank them for being so incredibly supportive with our expansion to Norfolk."
