Emily Bull, of KL.FM is celebrating her own news that she has been shortlisted as a contender to take the title of the UK’s top radio newsreader.
She learned on Wednesday, which coincided with her second anniversary of working for KL.FM, that she has been nominated in the IRN Awards as Best Newsreader and is one of the three finalists.
The Sky-sponsored awards are for all commercial radio stations across the UK.
Said Emily: “I am really thrilled. It’s such an honour as these are recognised as the top awards in radio.”
For her awards entry she submitted her news bulletin broadcast the morning after the Scottish referendum.
She and colleagues from KL.FM will go the Century Club in London on March 19 when the results will be announced.
