West Norfolk nursery with royal alumni rated as ‘good’

A West Norfolk nursery with royal connections is celebrating after being rated ‘good’ in its latest Ofsted report.

West Acre Montessori School, in East Walton, was inspected in early October and officials said it is good in all areas.

The nursery, which Prince George attended in 2016, was also rated good in all four of its previous inspections.

Inspectors said children “show very positive attitudes to learning” and “gain the key skills required to support the next stage in their learning and to prepare them for life in modern Britain”.

They added that staff are “deeply committed” to safeguarding children, and they “act as very good role models” for children.

Officials said to further improve the quality of the school, outdoor learning provision should be enhanced to “support and engage those children who prefer to learn and play outside”.

Manager Rosie Reynolds said: “I am really proud of my staff for all the hard work and commitment they have shown especially in recent years.

“Everybody within the setting pulls together and works as a team.”

The school is holding an open day for parents who would like to enrol their children on Friday, November 29 between 2pm and 4pm.
