West Norfolk schoolgirl is a winner for never missing school

A West Norfolk schoolgirl has been honoured for not missing a single day of primary school.

Freya Knight was recognised for her full attendance at the Cherry Tree Academy in Marham over the past seven years this week.

Principal Michaela Webb said, “For someone to achieve a 100 per cent attendance in one academic year is super. However, to do this over seven years is simply amazing.”

Freya’s parents were on hand to congratulate their daughter who received a trophy and mini-iPad in recognition of her achievement.

Her mum Elaine said: “We are very proud of her commitment to learning and would like to thank everyone at Cherry Tree Academy for making her seven years here so special.”

Freya said she had enjoyed a fun and happy time at the school. She is pictured with Michaela Webb.
