Marshland Hall in Marshland St James announces actions due to coronavirus

Marshland Hall in Marshland St James has announced that it is closing its tearoom and numerous activities due to coronavirus.

The tearoom and soft play area will be closed until further notice; Easter holiday activities will be postponed; the Farmers Market booked for April 23 is cancelled but it is hoped this will restart in July.

The Marshland St James and District Community and Sports Centre (MDCSC) has also cancelled until further notice all dances, short mat bowls, Mondays yoga session, mini rugby, Easter egg hunts and a tractor fun day.

In a statement issued by James Bamfield on behalf of MDCSC, he said that the facility would still be open to individual hirers unless advised otherwise by local or central government.

"We hope you understand our actions which we feel have been taken swiftly and with public interest at heart, from a perspective that it is better to regret over reacting than to regret not acting," he said.
