A West Norfolk village primary school has been forced to close today because it is still without power following Storm Ciara.

The Rudham CE Primary Academy is one of hundreds of properties across the borough that is still without electricity following the gales yesterday.

School leaders said they had no alternative but to close, as they do not expect to have power restored there until this afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the North Norfolk coast from Old Hunstanton for this morning's tides.
