County transport officials have announced plans to run a road safety club for children across Norfolk.
Norfolk County Council is contacting nurseries and children’s centres across the county to encourage them to take part in the Children’s Traffic Club.
The programme, run for the first time last year, offers DVD packs containing a range of safety messages for parents to use with their children.
Iain Tempterton, the county council’s road safety manager, said: “Research shows some life habits can be set between the ages of three and five.
“An introduction to road safety messages can make a huge difference to a child’s behaviour near roads and will prepare them beneficially for when they begin walking and cycling to and from school.
