Five friends who once completed the Duke of Edinburgh Award together are doing a charity hike to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and Comic Relief.

Tomorrow and Sunday, they will be covering 47 miles on a Peddars Way hike starting from Holme and ending close to Thetford.

They are supporting British Heart Foundation, in memory of a friend, Duncan Gooderson, who died in 2006 while taking part in the GEAR run in Lynn.

Antony Culy, who has been involved in previous Comic Relief fundraisers, will be joined by Oliver Handley, James Inman, John-Joe Pekszyc and Matthew Taylor.

The five undertook the Duke of Edinburgh Award in 1999 as teenagers.

They are travelling from all over the country to do the charity hike along Peddars Way.
