LEARN MOREThe Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their family are expected to spend Christmas in West Norfolk despite the absence of the Queen at Sandringham.
National newspapers this morning reported that William and Kate will be spending the break at their home at Anmer Hall.
Joining them and children George, aged eight, Charlotte, six, and Louis, three, will be some of the Middleton family.
This means that the Cambridges will not be seeing the Queen over Christmas at Windsor.
Her Majesty will be joined by Prince Charles and the Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, it has been announced.
This is the first Christmas the Queen has faced since her husband the Duke of Edinburgh died in April. He spent the final years of his life living at Sandringham.
The Queen usually comes up to Sandringham just before Christmas and stays until Accession Day in early February, the day her father died at Sandringham in 1952.
Covid has made that impossible this year. However, there is speculation that the Queen will travel up to Sandringham in January for a stay.
