West Norfolk weather: Wind weather warning issued by Met Office




A yellow weather warning for wind has been issued across West Norfolk, North Norfolk and Breckland.

It is in place from 10am this morning until 6pm as winds are expected to reach up to 65mph.

The highest gusts are predicted to hit around mid-morning and mid-afternoon with some rising to 60 and 65mph over the coast and hills.

Elsewhere winds will blow at 50 to 55mph.

The Met Office has said high-sided vehicles should take care on exposed routes and bridges while there may be delays on the roads, railways, while planes, ferries and buses may also be affected.

It has also warned there could be short term loss of power and other services and damage to trees.

The warning covers the entire county and has also been issued in areas across the rest of the East of England, the East and West Midlands, London, South East England, South West England and Wales.
