A woman was sexually assaulted on a Lynn cycle path last weekend, police have said.

The incident is said to have happened on the path between Tennyson Avenue and the Iron Bridge at around 12.30pm on Sunday February 15.

Police say the victim, a woman in her 20s, was walking towards King’s Reach when she became aware of a man following her.

The man began to speak to the woman before making a lewd comment. He then tried to lift her skirt and grabbed her leg.

The attacker is described as white, around five foot eight inches tall, of slim build, with shaven ginger hair, freckles and stubble. He was also wearing a knee-length black coat.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who saw the incident or a man fitting the above description in the area at the time.

Witnesses should contact PC Ryan Kerr, of Lynn police, on the non-emergency 101 number.
