Witnesses sought following spate of burglaries in Downham Market area




Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a number of burglaries in the Downham area on Friday (January, 10).

It comes after a property in Norwich Road, Shouldham, was targeted between 1.30pm and 2.30pm, with a window smashed to gain entry.

Jewellery, a safe containing a watch and an air rifle were stolen.

In a further incident in Southery, jewellery, cash and documents were stolen from a house in Feltwell Road, which was broken into between 9am and 12.30pm after a window was smashed to break in.

Lastly, between 4.30am and 5pm, a property in Station Road in Ten Mile Bank was broken into with cash, 16 bottles of Jack Daniels and a Toshiba laptop was stolen.

The home was broken into after a glass door was smashed.

Officers believe the incidents are linked and would like to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious in the areas mentioned.
