Woman dies in four-car collision on A148 near Fakenham

A woman has died following a four-car collision on the A148 near Fakenham, police have confirmed this morning.

It happened at Sculthorpe shortly after 5.10pm yesterday (Monday, April 8) near to the junction with the B1355 when four cars, a Nissan Note, a Vauxhall Astra, a Ford Kuga and a Nissan X-Trail were involved in a collision.

The driver of the Nissan Note, a woman in her 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Nissan X-Trail also suffered injuries.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and reopened just before 11pm.

Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information concerning the driving manner of the vehicles involved.
