Woman in her 70s dies after being involved in two vehicle collision in Salters Lode
A woman has died after being involved in a two vehicle collision in Salters Lode.
Emergency services were called to the A1122 at around 8.55pm on Friday, May 19 to reports of a crash.
The incident involved a silver Seat Leon travelling towards Nordelph and a white Hyundai i20 heading towards Downham.
The passenger in the white Hyundai, a woman aged in her 70s, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver was also injured.
The Leon driver, a man in his 40s, was taken to Royal Papworth Hospital, where he remains.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle beforehand.
