Woman died in ‘industrial incident’ at Swaffham funeral home

A woman in her 60s died following an “industrial incident” at a funeral home on Friday.

Norfolk Police confirmed the woman passed away following the incident on Swaffham’s Market Place.

Emergency services, including the East Anglian air ambulance, were called shortly after midday.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, which is reported to have been the East of England Co-op Funeral Services building.

Officers are working with the local authority to establish the circumstances which lead to the woman’s death.

Her next of kin has been informed.
