A woman was sexually assaulted as she walked along one of Lynn’s busiest roads during the early hours of last Friday, police have revealed.

Detectives have appealed for witnesses to come forward in connection with the incident, which happened in Railway Road, between midnight and 12.30am on Friday, July 31.

A Norfolk Police spokesman said two women had been walking along the road when they were approached by two men.

She said one of the men was alleged to have grabbed one of the women in an inappropriate manner several times before the women ran off.

She added that the victim was not injured.
