Sutton Bridge woman Aimee Holmes in King’s Lynn court after drink-driving

A woman who drunk-drove while more than four times the legal limit is set to be sentenced.

Aimee Holmes, 39, of Allenbys Chase in Sutton Bridge, pleaded guilty to the offence when she appeared at Lynn Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

She was caught on June 22 while driving along Campbell’s Meadow, in Lynn’s Hardwick Industrial Estate.

She provided an evidential reading of 152mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath - more than four times the legal limit to drive of 35mcg.

Magistrates adjourned Holmes’ case to tie in with other offences she has committed, for which a pre-sentence report is currently being prepared by the probation service.

She will therefore return to the Lynn court on September 26 to learn her fate, and has been released on unconditional bail.

Magistrates also imposed an interim driving ban on Holmes. It will last either for six months or until she is disqualified when sentenced.
