John Harris to host music event at Heacham Methodist Hall to raise money for Matjinge Water Project





A West Norfolk music lover who has hosted an array of charity events over the years is putting on another one.

John Harris, who puts on piano parties for his birthday to raise money for charity, is hosting his next event “Words and Music for Matjinge”.

Taking place at Heacham Methodist Hall on Saturday, June 22 at 2.30pm, a number of acts will perform, including John himself.

Other acts and speakers include the West Norfolk Singers, Mark Fielding, Sheila Johnson, Ann McKimm, Joella Nash, Rev Dr Richman Ncube, Lok-Mai Yuen and the Zimbabwe Fellowship.

The event is being held to raise funds for the Matjinge Water Project, which aims to install a new borehole and water pump at a rural Methodist boarding school in Zimbabwe, Africa.

There is no charge for admission or refreshments to the event, but donations towards the project are invited.
