World famous author and multiple Carnegie Book award nominee Julia Jarman was a popular visitor to Gaywood’s Howard Junior School on the final day of term.

She presented a multitude of prizes to pupils and gave away a brand new tablet computer as a star prize.

Headteacher Gregory Hill said: “Julia loved our glow in the dark library and was so proud to present awards to our hardworking pupils.

“We were also very lucky in that fact she personally signed books for pupils and the school library.”
