Fairstead nail technician nails it at X Factor finals
Scarlett Senter, 30, enjoyed a busy weekend when she joined the team of seven nail technicians to help the acts get ready for Saturday and Sunday’s shows.
The 30-year-old from Fairstead was putting in 12-hour days when she was helping to get more than 100 people ready to appear on the popular show.
A total of 8.4 million people tuned in to Sunday’s final to watch Louisa Johnson be crowned this year’s winner.
Mr Senter was able to watch both shows after finishing work.
She said: “It was overwhelming , I have never done anything like that before.
“I’m very much a home girl and family orientated but to go to the X Factor final was one of those things you don’t expect to do.”
Mrs Senter was invited to join the team by a friend and arrived on Friday for a busy weekend.
She completed 12-hour shifts each day clocking in at 8am and finishing at 8pm.
Mother-of-two Mrs Senter had her hands full painting or putting on acrylic nails for some contestants along with other acts which were performing on the ITV1 show.
She said: “I did Alien Uncovered. There was a choir of 40 people along with 40 cheerleaders and the dancers.
“It was quite quick when you have 100 people to do.”
During the weekend Mrs Senter was able to watch the acts rehearse along with the live show. She said: “It was amazing to be able to watch Adele sing live.”
While backstage, she was able to see some of the stars such as Simon Cowell.
She said: “Because you are working, you have to be professional but it was amazing to see them.”
A highlight was also meeting face-to-face with pop superstar and host Olly Murs.
Mrs Senter, who runs Nail Boutique, said: “I had a chat with Olly and a conversation with Che Chesterman, who came third.
“You see these people on television and then you meet them in person and it is quite a giddy experience.
“They are all so down to earth and really lovely people.
“It was really busy but I’m pleased to be home with the kids. I can now enjoy Christmas after a real high to end the year.
“Hopefully this will lead to other things.”
Mrs Senter is married to Ashley and has children Jack, 10, and eight-year-old Kayla.
