King's Lynn issued with yellow weather warning for thunderstorms and heavy downpours

King's Lynn could be hit with heavy downpours and thunderstorms tomorrow, forecasters have warned.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for large parts of the country from 10am on Thursday until 12am on Friday morning.

Forecasters are warning that torrential downpours could cause disruption to travel, with spray from the road surface and flooding leading to difficult driving conditions.

Residents may also be hit with power cuts and a loss to other services in their homes and businesses.

A Met Office spokesperson added: "There is a small chance that some communities become cut off by flooded roads."

Scorching temperatures are expected to remain in Suffolk, with highs of 26 degrees in some places.
