Met Office issues yellow weather warning for wind in West Norfolk
A fresh weather warning has been issued for high winds in West Norfolk.
The yellow warning from the Met Office, is in place until 3pm on Monday, as forecasters predict gusts of up to 55mph in coastal areas of the borough. The strongest winds are expected tomorrow morning.
The guidance follows in the wake of Storm Eunice, which caused widespread disruption to power supplies, transport networks and public events on Friday.
The Met Office is warning that transport delays are likely, and trees and branches could be damaged, especially where made more vulnerable by Storm Eunice. Power outages are also possible.
Train operator Great Northern has already advised passengers to avoid travelling on Monday if possible, warning that some routes may be forced to close and a 50mph speed limit will be in place on all services.
