Cambridge University students perform at Lynn Music Society recital

Three talented university students gave a performance to remember at a town music show.

At the penultimate Lynn Music Society recital held at Lynn’s town hall last week, three second year Cambridge University music students displayed a varied programme of works.

With Jenny Ryan on oboe and Daniel Liu and Alex Trigg playing piano, the trio played pieces by various composers – including well known names such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Britten, Chopin, Schubert Saint-Saens and Telemann.

All pieces required the musicians to possess high standards of technique understanding of the music, and they certainly had that in spades.

The programme was warmly received by the audience, with the Lynn society’s vice president, composer and pianist Tim Watts assisting with the event.
