Alive Sports Development held another of its adapted sports day at Lynnsport, on Thursday, in partnership with the West Norfolk School Sport Partnership.
More than 80 children from a range of schools took part in have-a-go sessions in boccia, curling, cricket and athletics using Lynnsport’s athletics and indoor barn facilities.
Alive Leisure’s sports development manager Adam Garford explained: “Our Adapted Sports Days are all about giving young people with disabilities a chance to have a go and latch onto a sport that they may want to pursue in the future.
“There’s not many regular disability activities available in the area but we hope the participants will make the transition to the Kandoo Club, which takes place at Lynnsport every Wednesday evening.”
Fan Brown, co-ordinator for the day, said: “It was a great day of fun activity and it’s always a real pleasure to see the youngsters enjoy themselves so much.
“Those with disability can benefit so much from sport and we hope the days can inspire all participants to find an activity that they like and can carry on with.”
