Nativity comes to Flitcham Primary School stage with Ralph the Reindeer story

School pupils took to the stage to tell a special Christmas story.

The whole of Flitcham Primary School, part of the Sandringham Federation, took part in the ‘Ralph the Reindeer’ production.

Children as young as three helped tell the story of Rudolph being struck down by illness, unable to take Santa on his journey.

Ralph, a shy and quiet reindeer, is looking for work - but did not know how to fly.

By using the power of song, he was able to make Rudolph feel better - and received some advice in return so he could take to the sky and save Christmas.

Youngsters then time-travelled to the first Nativity in an additional twist.

Children from Key Stage Two lent the school their support with singing and dancing, while they also controlled the lights and sounds.

A spokesperson for the school said: “The Year 6s demanded that the show finished with the whole school on stage to sing ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’”.

However, days before the show, disaster had nearly struck when the stage lights bulb blew.

“Luckily we were saved by a Kent company called White Light who were able to send a replacement bulb just in time,” the spokesperson added.

With the equipment back up and running, youngsters were able to put on a great performance.
