The owners of Downham Tandoori and Balti House, brothers Anwar and Abdul Ali, have thanked NatWest bank for its support which made the expansion of their business possible.
The High Street restaurant has increased its capacity after securing a business development loan of £330,000 to extend its premises. It allowed them to buy the freehold of the building next door and the expanded restaurant opened in September.
Said Anwar: “Thanks to the support from NatWest, we secured the finance needed to expand and turned it into a business capable of welcoming more than 100 diners each night.”
Lynette Meen, of NatWest, said the Downham Tandoori was “a staple” of the area and was well loved by its customers.
