Have your say

Reading what is required of a town councillor the main item seems to be and I quote “Councillors are there to represent the people that elected them and provide a voice for their local community.” They do not represent me.

I attended a town council meeting recently regarding the proposed building of houses on the wonderful green field (currently used as farm land) between Downham and Wimbotsham. The campaign that has been running is against this building and the number of Downham residents who are against it, have been TOTALLY AND BLATANTLY ignored by Downham council. They voted almost unanimously for the land to be used to build these houses totally disregarding our representation and campaign.

We shall continue our fight – we may have lost the battle but we have not yet lost the war
