The Lynn support group of the National Osteoporosis Society enjoyed a wonderful quiz evening on November 11, making a profit of over £850 for the charity and I would like to thank everybody who was involved. There were 30 teams with others were turned away due to lack of space.

The charity’s annual quiz started in 1999 and having been in the winning team for the first four years, and hearing of the likelihood of it stopping, Jeff Hoyle took over and has been quiz master ever since, apart from one year. There is a regular following and a shield is awarded to the winner. The group is grateful to those who gave prizes, sponsored the event and to those who bought tickets and entered teams. The money raised will help the local group keep running its regular twice weekly exercise classes and monthly support group meetings at London Road Methodist Church Hall. If anybody would like to find out more contact me on 01553 773309.
